Preface

At the outset I salute shri.R.Satyanarayana, my
Bosom friend, philosopher, an Ardent devotee of
Shri.sringeri. Avani Swamigal, who has blessed
his prudence Enlightening his scholaristic
knowledge, paving the way for making new
attempts to explore the orbits of astrology,
astronomy, explaining the importance of
Worshipping and offering pooja to the 'Nine
Rotating planets', acting upon men according to
their planetary position. The reader of this
version offers a revelation of the effects of
Navagrahas, who will be enlightened with the
effects of these planets in one's life's span i have
read with keen observation and commend his
exemplary work. I WISH HIM GOD'S GRACE,
GOOD LUCK AND SUCCESS IN HIS FUTURE

Chapter - 1

The Universal force. The Lord.

Shri.Shankaracharya described man , his off-spring,
as 'Thou art that.i.e.'Tatvamasi'. While we have numerous
species, both ani -Mate and inanimate, it is the man, who
is given the coveted title of being 'Divine'.Of course, when
a man is born, the child is said to be the Lord, upto five
years because it has no power of speech. In the beginning.
Its coy smile will bring lot of enjoyment to the Parents and
kins. When it begins to speak, its sweet words bring
Innumerable happiness to the family members.Its
activities, when called by a name, its response, its
movements, all make the family a fountain-head of
satisfaction.When it starts learning, its social
Environment begins.Contacts bring benefits, degrees, to
have money.

To achieve the same., dejection if not satisfied, anger,
frustration, disappointment,.These are the qualities
carried over as per the past Karma, determining his
qualities as noble, medium and bad. These Three qualities
are prevailing everywhere. When we consume rice, if It is

of a good quality, there is n need for polishing. If it is of a
medium Quality, it has to be polished, stones and husk
separated.Then only it Will be fit for use.The hard rice /
the government rice, as it is called is fit to be used for dosa,
uppuma, etc.

Proper teaching of spiritual exercise will make him a
good man like Shri. Rama, Shri. Krishna,. Shri.
Vivekananda, Shri. Prahlada. The quality of being
ferocious, bold, increases the quality of Rajas, thus
making a Man to give a deaf ear to all the good qualities.
The qualities of cruelty, Jealousy, hatred, venom, greed,
will make a man of a demonic nature.

There are always chances for a man to hear from
learned men, their experiences, the suffering undergone
by others, the change, the conversion, as a divine soul,
through constant chanting of divine name, remembering
His anectodes, will-power, will make him the off-spring
of the Lord.

'THE SPRING IS THERE, HE HAS TO JUMP,
PUMPING HIS ENERGY, DUMPING ALL THE EVIL
QUALITIES A FAR, AND GLIDE TOWARDS THE
GALAXY OF GLORY.

CHAPTER II.

THE CABINET COLLEGUES.

Normally every country is ruled by a king. He will
have a 'Devaguru' to advice him on Spiritual matters.A
prime-minister to advice on administrative matters.A
Commander-in-Chief to resist alien attacks and
safeguard the country. a minister to look after financial
matters and revenue collection. a minister to look after
education and another to look after health-care. Thus
“delegation of powers” to his colleagues by the leader is
in vouge from the times of yore.

When the same theory is enforced at the universal
level, this world is the domain of God, and almighty is the
unquestionable monoarch of this kingdom.

Hence, he has entrusted the duty of creation to Lord
Brahma, the duty of protection is retained by Lord
Vishnu . The duty of anhilation is entrusted to Lord
Ishwara, the removal of ignorance is 'thirodhana', which
is done by Lord Rudra.The last aspect of Bliss is the duty

of Lord Sadashiva. THE ENTIRE FORCE BEHIND THIS
ACTIVITY IS 'AMBAL.', THE PARABRAHMA
MAHISHI, THE SUPREME-MOTHER.All the Other
deities are acting as their aides.

The world must always have sufficient rainfall.This is
regulated by Lord Indra. If the Devas are to be appeased,
‘yagnyas’ or holy sacrifice has to be performed.The 'Ahuti
or The sacrifice offered to the Devas is returned in the
form of rains from the heaven, coming from the sky in the
form of water which is very essential for the survival of
Plants, animals and mankind. To perform holy sacrifice
'fire' is required, which is in Charge of Lord Agni.

Finance is the life blood of all activities.Life is
meaningless without wealth.Hence it is Called 'artha.'
Controlled by Lord Kubera.Regulation of rains is by Lord
Varuna.

Justice and Dharma are the two pillars on which the
building of life stands.Man can Play havoc until he
knows, 'one day he has to pack-off.That is regulated by
Lord Yama.

'IF ONE FOLLOWS NIYAMA THERE IS NO FEAR
OF YAMA.'The supply of fresh air is very essential for the
survival of species, which is the duty of Lord Vayu. The
entire world is based on power.Hence the Lord offered

this power to holy mother. One must have knowledge,
which is offered by the consort of Lord Brahma,Shri.Vani.

One must have wealth which is offered by the consort
of Lord Vishnu, Shri.Lakshmi.

The conferring of the strength is the duty of
Shri.Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. The above
anectode narrated, depicting the details of the cabinet of
the Lord of the Universe is a 'HONEY TO HEAR, A
SPECTACLE TO WATCH, A PLEASURE TO PONDER,
A DEAR SUBJECT TO PROPOGATE.

Chapter-3.

The Off-spring of the Lord.

Suppose we go to witness a drama. There is a “hero”.
He has got a very good personality. Good mannerisms,
majestic voice, attractive movements. There is a heroine
who is very beautiful, coy with alluring smile, sweet
voice, swan-like movements, the presence making
people very inspiring, mutual love sprouting like a lotus,
culminating in their Divine love. There is a villain, with a
gigantic personality, fearsome, very shrill voice, the
presence causing fear among the on-lookers. There is a
comedian who often raises The audience to the roof-tops
through his quick-fire dialogues.

It must have a good story, music, light, sound, etc.
above all the audiences. It will have a director .Though, it
is a reflection of life –characters, it is not real. Enjoy and
withdraw. Likewise, in the drama called life, with a
strong script, man is the hero. We take the Personalities of
Shri.Rama, Shri.Krishna, Shri. Narasimha, Bali and
Shri.Vamana. Among devotees, Prahlada, Dhruva,
Shri.Ramakrishna, Markandeya, whose life is a Saga of
inspiration.

The off-spring of The Lord.

We take the life of Shri.Seetha, Damayanthi, Rukmini,
Anusuya, Draupadi, Meerabai, to be ideal heroines. Then,
coming to villains, we take the example of Ravana, Vali,
Kamsa, Hiranyakashipu, Shurpadman, etc. They were
originally not born as bad. Circumstances made them bad
and ultimately they were killed and taken over to his fold
by the Lord. The comedians we have are, Tenali Rama,
Birbal, of late, the cultured comedian Master Hiranniah,
the inseperable duo, Balakrishna and Narasimharaju., the
indomitable Nagesh.

The story- writers are there. But, as Shakespeare said,
'WORLD IS A STAGE IN WHICH MEN ARE ACTORS.'
THE GREATEST SCRIPT-WRITER IS THE LORD. WE
HAVE THE STORY CALLED LIFE.LIGHT OFCOURSE
IS THE SUN. WE ARE THE HEROES. OUR FELLOW
CITIZENS ARE THE SPECTATORS.REMEMBER IT IS
NOT REEL. IT IS REAL.”YOU ARE EXPECTED TO
PLAY AS LONG AS THE DIRECTOR WILLS. EXIT
WHEN YOUR TURN COMES.”

To bring home the fact that we are not the only persons
attracted by the incidents , numerous writers have
written many plays, mainly, mythological. .The
conclusion is,

“YOU ARE WARNED. YOU DO NOT HAVE SHOES.
BUT THERE ARE PROPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE LEGS.
WHO IS SUPERIOR / COMPARE WITH OTHERS.
CALM DOWN. CONTEMPLATE, CONCLUDE,
CELEBRATE.”

CHAPTER-4.

DESTINY-FATE

A person is planning to proceed by air to Bombay.
Due to the delay in the traffic jam he will get stuck enroute.
The flight is delayed by the traffic. The flight goes
off. He will curse the fate. After two hours, he will see the

T.V. to hear the news that the flight met with an accident.
He will thank the stars for the survival. Another friend
who had to join him in the flight had gone by that flight
and he is the victim of the accident. In both the cases the
good deeds done by the former has saved him and slight
deviation from his dharma has snatched his friend from
his family.This is an instance of fate playing in our Life.
We call it' “fate or Adrishtam.'' NA DRISHTETHITHI
ADRUSHTAHA.'THAT WHICH IS UNSEEN IS
CALLED FATE.'

There are three things here, viz. 'ADI DEIVIKAM.'
Suppose there is some calamity like Flood, which is the act
of god, resulting in loss of life, crops etc. Then,' ADI
BHOUTHIKAM', which is the, disaster by nature. While
going on the hill side on a tour, if there is a disaster, there

is loss of life. Then there is 'ADHYATMIKA', which is
spiritual.

When the crowning ceremony of Shri.Rama wa about
to take place, the demand for his ouster to forest came as a
bolt from the blue. The real cause of Shri.Ramavatara was
to anhilate the evil and establishment of Dharma through
the anhilation of demon, Ravana. The question arises
whether the fate can be overcome and its consequences
stopped. Here the Dharmashastras come to our rescue. It
is the Lord who has created this world and also its
spicies. Man, though given intelligence is a victim of
circumstances. He has also been given mind.But, due to
lack of proper guidance, if it is deviated towards an evil
cause, the result will be disastrous.

Because, Shri.Prahlada had been taught about
Shri.Narayana, in the womb itself, by sage Narada, he
was able to get rid of all the atrocities inflicted upon him
by demon-father, Hiranyakashipu, by the grace of Lord
Narasimha. Though Shri.Dhruva was snubbed by His
step-mother to take birth again to sit on his father's lap,
his mother advised him to approach Lord Narayana by
severe penance which resulted in his attaining glory,
kingdom and a permanent place in the galaxy of stars.

When Lord Brahma had five heads, out of confusion,
Mother Uma embraced him as he resembled Lord Shiva
in appearance. Lord Shiva, in a fit of anger, severed his

head, in a fit of anger, resulting in his getting
'Brahmahatyadosa.' The vessel he had never got Filled
until it was filled-up by Mother Annapoorneshwari in
kashi. To honour the curse of Sage Durvasa, he attained
the form of 'shivalinga.' and is worshipped so.Lord
Brahma has no puja or temple at all.Thus, when the Devas
honour the force of destiny, What about human beings?
AS LONG AS THERE IS HEAD, THERE IS HEADACHE,
WHICH IS THE RESULT OF GETTING
DRENCHED.BUT SARIDON IS THERE.ACTION 500 IS
THERE. BUT, HERE, FAITH AND 108 SWAMI NAMA
JAPA IS THE PENACEA'.

CHAPTER 5.

PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE

People knowing about film production know about the word
'SHOOTING.' First of all it Must have a 'SCRIPT.' A
LOCATION, ACTORS, MUSIC, CAMERA, SOUND ETC.
The next person who leads the team is the 'DIRECTOR.' He
must have command over all the fields of film-making and
execute it to the fullest capacity, and of course, it is the “Public
who will decide the fate of the movie. It must have ever-green
memory in the heart of the public. Simply coming and
disappearing of the film without impact is a waste.

Now, let us extend this analogy to the film called 'LIFE.'
THE STAGE IS THE WORLD. THE DIRECTOR IS THE
ALMIGHTY. ACTOR IS THE MAN. 'The actor has to follow
the Director. Camera is the collegues of the Lord watching his
activities. Of course, the Sound is the words we utter. Music is
'how we behave with others. It may be smooth, Rough, harsh,
terrific. The Director will say, 'START' in the
beginning,'ACTION' in the Middle and 'CUT' in the end, and if
he is happy, and 'pack-up after the shooting is Over.Of corse if
he is not happy, there will be 'RETAKE'.

When we apply this aanalogy from reel-life to real-life,
this is 'PRACTICAL,'. IT IS NOT MAKE-BELIEVE. It has

effect. That has no effect. The devas have no action as they are
in heaven and are immortal as they have consumed nector. Only
when they are born in this world they will have action. Hence
the world is Called 'KARMABHOOMI OR FIELD OF
ACTION.' In Bhagavad Geetha, Lord Krishna says, 'If you
appease Devas through your sacrifices, they will in return
bless you with all prosperity'.

To sum up, 'IN KRUTAYUGA IT IS PENANCE, IN
TRETAYUGA, IT IS YAGNYA, IN DWAPARAYUGA IT IS
WORSHIP AND IN KALIYUGA, IT IS THE 'CHANTING
OD THE LORD'S NAME.' If you have done good deeds in the
past you will reap good benefits. 'Born in a noble Family,
enjoying all the material benefits, you will get salvation. If the
past is a record of mixed deeds, he will be experiencing
suffering, yet, recovering through repentence, and recovering
out of God's grace. If his past actions are henious, the result will
be very Pathetic, painful and problematic.'

'TO BE DIVINE IS LIKE VIEWING A FILM FROM THE
BALCONY, TO BE A MAN OF MIXED QUALITIES IS
LIKE VIEWING THE FILM AFTER GETTING THE
TICKET THROUGH HERCULIAN EFFORT. TO BE VERY
HARSH, HARMFUL, IS LIKE VIEWING THE FILM FROM
THE WHISTLE-CLASS. 'SO YOU CANNOT AVOID
SEEING THE FILM, BUT MAKE IT EASY,

ENJOYABLE, ENTERTAINING AND
ENDEARING.' OF MIXED QUALITIES.

CHAPTER-6.

TAMILNADU THE CENTRE OF ART
AND ARCHITECTURE

'LOOK TO THE LIGHT FOR EAST,' said a scholar.
While materially, the west has prospered by leaps and
bounds, in spiritual matters they have to depend on the
east. Two words which strike us in English are
'PERMANENT' AND TEMPORARY.' In kannada it is
'paramanentu [absolute relationship] Temperworry
[provoking]. The Lord, who has given birth, body,
intelligence, opportunities, health, kith and kin, Who is
our permanent kin, is our permanent kin, with us always,
whereas, others appear for a few days and disappear and
hence they are temporary.

In India, we call it 'In Dia.' We give our heart. An
American, means. 'A merry can', Where all the
enjoyments are stored and offered in a can. When we
glance at the map of India, we find three oceans on three
sides. It shows that “one must be broad in his
outlook.'BLUE POINTS TO BROADMINDEDNESS,
THE DEPTH SIGNIFIES SHELTER TO MANY SPECIES,
STORAGE OF INVALUABLE TREASURES, AND ONLY
WHEN ONE DIVES DEEP INTO THE WATER, HE CAN
SECURE IT' The Himalayan mountain depicts that “ONE
SHOULD AIM HIGH, THINK HIGH, TRY HIGH, TO

REACH THE ALTAR OF ALMIGHTY.'

A LOOK AT THE STATES WHERE GOD TOOK
SHELTER IN DIFFERENT STATES, WHICH HAVE
MADE A MARK. In New Delhi, where Mahabharatha
was fought, there is always fight, clash. In West Bengal,
where Mother Durga is ferocious, it is always agitation,
strike. In Maharashtra, Where Godess Lakshmi is located,
It is the hub of economic activity and Lord Ganesh offers
simple solutions for all problems, In Andhra Pradesh,
where Lord Srinivasa is residing money comes unasked
for. In Kerala, where Lord Krishna, Lord Aiyyappa
reside, Shri.Shankaracharya was born, it is the house of
spirituality, sanctity and serenity.

In Karnataka, the home of Mother Chamundeswari,
it is peace, patience, plenty, every-.where, in Tamilnadu,
where Lord Muruga stansds on the hills was furious for
not getting the fruit of knowledge. Hence the people of
Tamilnadu are highly Intaligent, think high the urgent
thinu high & are found every where, in demand every
where A GLANCE AT THE TRMPLES BUILT BY THE
KINGS STAND AS A REPLICA OF THEIR SKILL,
KNOWLEDGE, VALOUR, VISION,
BROADMINDEDNESS AND CONTRIBUTION OF
CULTURE TO THE YORE.THE LITERATURE SPEAKS
VOLUMES OF THEIR SCHOLARSHIP, SIMPLICITY,
SPREADING WORLDWIDE, SHEDDING
IGNORENCE, KINDLING THE LIGHT OF LEARNING
AND THE LEARNED. 'TOUR AROUND. YOU WILL

SEE MAGFNUM-OPUS, OPPLUENT, INSPIRING,
LOVEABLE NOSTALGIA AVAILABLE DEPICTING
UNIVERSALITY (TAMILNADU).

CHAPTER - 7

WHAT THE TEMPLES SAY.

We are going to temple everyday to see the Lord'.Why is
the Lord not coming to see us? 'A'/PERTINENT
QUESTION. The answer is 'when he is always with us,
where is the Question of his coming.

We have knowledge. We go to a school for learning.
We get ailment. We go to a Doctor. We have got gold. We
go to a Gold-smith. We have got a piece of cloth. We go to
a Tailor. We have got a job. We go to an office. This clearly
shows that we are not INDEPENDENT. WE ARE INTERDEPENDENT.

Ex-eye-sight.Ears-sound.Tongue;Talk.Hand-touch.
Legs- walk. God has created this world and also man. To
thank the Lord for the birth, body, facilities he has given,
we must have a ' MEDIA'. Those who have reached the
zenith of Spirituality can realise the Lord through
meditation. Some through penance. Some through
worship. Ordinary people will go to the temple to pray the
Lord. A rich man goes to a multiplex-mal to purchae a
thing. A middle class man goes to a shop. An orddinary

man goes to a pavement seller or hawker for the same.
Realising that all are not equally intelligent and living on
different ideologies, Shree Shankaracharya gsve a choice
to pray the form of the Lord of their choice and very
Simple method of 'NAMAASAMKIRTHANA.'OR
CHANTING HIS NAME.

When A person goes to a temple, there is an aroma
of calmness and serenity.'THE MIND FIXED ON THE
LORD, EYES FIXED ON THE LOTUS FEET, MOUTH
UTTERING HIS NAMES, HAND FOLDED, HEART
DISSOLVED, FEET URGING TO TOUCH THE LORD,
THE WHOLE BODY FALLS BEFORE HIM THAT 'HE IS
NOBODY, THERE IS SOMEBODY TO SING
DEVOTION'S SWEET MELODY.'

There is an anectode in the 'NARADA BHAKTHI
SUTRA', where a farmer who was Praying Lord Sun in
the morning and evening got priority for Moksha, while
24-hour Devotee, Sage Narada, was secondary. 'THE
LORD ASKED THE SAGE TO CARRY A BOTTLE OF
OIL ON HIS HEAD AND COME BACK WITHOUT
SHAKING AND SPILLING. THE SAGE MOVED
WITHOUT OCILATING, EPITOMY OF CONCEN

TRATION AND CAME BACK.WHEN THE LORD

ASKED THE SAGE 'HOW HE
FELT', THE REPLY WAS 'NO OCILATION, ONLY
CONCENTRATION.’

What The Temples Say

Thus, 'TEMPLE GIVES TEMPTATION TO GO ON
A MOTION OF SALVATION TO GET RID OF
BOTHERATION WITH FULL CONCENTRATION,
DEVOID OF NEGATION, A COMBINATION OF
PURPOSE, PERSUIT, PATIENCE, TO MERGE WITH
THE OMNIPRESENT, EVER- PRESENT.

Chapter - 8

THE KINSHIP BETWEEN THE DEVOTEE
AND THE DIVINE.

When we consume sugar we call it very sweet.
Sugar is visible but sweetness is not. When a person gets a
promotion, promotee is visible, but promotion is not.
When A music performance is rendered, musician is
visible but enjoyment is not. When A person has
sumptuous food, food is visible but satisfaction is not.
When a person Has experienced a good sleep, sleeper is
visible, but sleep is not.

Thus we have got three varieties in an
action.'Experiencer, Experience and the Experienced.
When a father performs his daughter's marriage, he has
got the satisfaction. Marriage is an exsperience. The
daughter has experienced it. Father is the experiencer.
When a person achieves success in an examination,
success is the experience. The Successful man is the
experiencer. And the partcular incident is the
experienced. The action and the experienced, sometimes
will be the same.

'DEVOTEE' is a word used to denote the nature of

The Kinship Between the Devotee and The Divine

a person who is very much attached to something. When
we say that a person is a devotee of Lord Krishna, that is
to say that he is fascinated by Lord Krishna, his activities,
his attractive figure, his achievements his performance,
his laurels, etc.

In ordinary life, we see a person becoming a fan of
an actor thinking about him, imitating him, thrilled at the
utterence of his name, 'A TWENTY FOUR HOUR
ATTACHMENT WITHOUT ANY EXPECTATION,
CENT PER CENT ATTACHMENT.

IN Narayaneeyam, we come across an episode.
Akrura comes to meet Lord Krishna But he first meets
gopikas. They ask him 'WHY LORD KRISHNA HAS
NOT COME. WHAT IS HE DOING. WHY THIS
SEPERATION, CAN HE KEEP THEM IN A DILEMMA
AND SHED TEARS. VIDHURA IS STUNNED BY THEIR
UNFLINCHING DEVOTION. FIRM ATTACHMENT,
EAGERNESS WITHOUT EXPECTATION, WAITING
LIKE A 'CHATHAKA PAKSHI EXPECTING RAINS. The
commentary goes,'WHAT RISHIS COULD NOT
ACHIEVE BY CONTINIOUS PENANCE FOR YEARS,
THESE LADIES ACHIEVED BY SHEER DEVOTION.
Once, when Lord Krishn HAD HEAD-ACHE, HE
WANTED THE FOOT- DUST OF A DEVOTEE. WHILE
OTHERS WERE AFRAID TO PART WITH IT, RADHA,
HIS ARDENT LOVER , WAS READY TO PART WITH IT,
AT THE COST OF HER EMBRACING THE SIN OF
INVITING THE LORD'S WRATH.'

The Kinship Between the Devotee and The Divine

In Mahabharatha. We have the example of
Draupady, whose modesty was tested by Duryodhana,
others were onlookers,.When Dushyasana was pulling
the saree, she cried and called 'GOVINDA' who gave the
'AKSHAYAMBARA', THE CONTINIOUS

SAREE, TO SAVE HER GRACE.' In Ramayana, Lord
Hanuman went to Srilanka in search of Seethadevi and
could not find her And was about to commit suicide. Lord
Rama's prayer gave him the vision of the Holy mother in
Ashokavana. Shri.Prahlada, unperturbed by the
harassement of his father prayed continiously.Lord
Narasimha who appeared in the pole, took the enemy on
his lap like a child, tore his Stomach and took him to his
stride. Thus, the relationship between the devotee and the
divine is very sacred, sanctified, Excellent, without
expectations, glorious, gorgeous, touching gigantic
proportions,

Chapter - 9

KUMBHAKONAM

Kumbha means pot, which represents 'COMPLETENESS
AND FULLNESS. In Sanskrit It is called 'PURNAM'. In
sanskrit 'Konam' is 'ANGLE.' So, if you see from any
angle, It is full. In spirituality, we compare a man's body,
soul and almighty, to a pot. First, to Prepare the pot,
potter must be there.Then, there must be mud. The third
apparatus is the Wheel. First, the mud will be mixed with
water.The wheel turns and the energy applied. Mud is
converted into pots of various shapes. The potter will
make a plate, vessel,cup etc.

First, it was a lumpy mud. Then it was converted

'MANGALA' MEANS 'ONE WHO DOES GOOD TO
THE PEOPLE. It is located in 'VAIDEESWARAN
KOVIL', A MAJESTIC, MEMORABLE TEMPLE,
MANIFESTING THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD
EVERYWHERE.''{55K.M.from Kumbhakonam].

In Karnataka, where 'PANCHALINGA
DARSHANAM' takes place once in 12 years, five lingas

WEALTH,VERY BEAUTIFUL, WITH ATTRACTIVE
EYES, HO ROBS THE MINDS OF THE ON-LOOKERS,

PATIENCE.'

Normally, we may have power and valour. If it is
not used properly, it will be useless. If He has wealth and
does not know its end use, it is worthless. Hence, one
must have good Knowledge.

When a child is born, the parents will check
whether it is brimming with all physical parts in toto. As it
grows, food will be given according to its age. Then they
will start teaching some traditional slokas. Admission to
school will enhance social environment.

Thread-cermony will offer foundation for spiritual
knowledge. Rituals will help in enriching spiritual
stremgth. A job assures good wealth and arrival of wife

THE BOSS-BESTOWER OF BOONS.

When a man is in his pinnacle of prosperity, he is said to
be in 'shukradasa'. In the horo-scope also, the graph will
show ascendecy in all the fields, 'wealth, wisdom,
welfare, longivity, profession, health, wedding,
everything.'

He is called the 'GURU OF THE DEMONS'
Though they are wicked, sometimes they follow
Dharma.When they want guidance, they consult'
Rajaguru.'on religious matters. Lord Shukra is their
consultant.They are not wicked by nature but are
adamant., ferocious, the venom they spit is only
temporary and ultimately, when the arrow of the Lord

LORD SATURN- STRICT
BUT SYMPATHETIC.

The Lord is Seventh in the cabinet. He is the son of Lord
Surya and Chayadevi. He was angry by the injustice done
to his mother by his father. His another brother is Lord
Yama. WHILE HE IS THE FOLLOWER OF DHARMA TO
THE TILT, LORD SATURN IS VERY STRICT.

We observe that in the horoscope of an individual,
placement position of Saturn is very Important. HE IS
VERY STRICT, BUT WITH A GOLDEN HEART. IF HE
MAKES UP HIS MIND , HE WILL OFFER THE BOONS
IN PLENTY AND IF HE IS STRICT, THE SUFFERING
ONE HAS TO UNDERGO IS BEYOND DESCRIPTION.
Hence, It is said, 'THUSTO DADATHI SAMRAJYAM,

man's life, where Lord Saturn remains runs from 3 to 5
years/ 7 years, appearing in gaps. Lord Rama had to
undergo living in forest as an ascetic for fourteen years,
but for a good purpose, anhilating the demons. The
pandavas had to be in exile for 12 years and one year in
'incognito', losing their wealth and kingdom. Even, Lord
Krishna, had to carry needless allegation of stealing
'shyamantaka', the rare jewel, offered by Lord Sun to king
Satrajit.

Another interesting story is, 'Shri.Anjaneya, Shree
Rama's ardent devotee, was approached by Lord Saturn
to be caught. Shri.Anjaneya initially refused. But when he
allowed the Lord to stay in his head for ten miniutes ,due
to the chanting of Shri.Rama's name, Lord Saturn had
unbearable experience, Lord Anjaneya was placing the
stones for the bridge constructed by Lord Shri.Rama to
cross the ocean to reach 'shrilanka.' The plea of
Sri.Sanideva enraged Shri.Hanuman so much that, as the
Lord was in the head, Lord Anjaneya became wild and
began to behave in a peculiar way. After being let out,
Lord Saturn assured Lord Hanuman, 'THAT HE
WOULD NEVER TROUBLE HIS DEVOTEES.' THUS
LORD SATURN;S NAME IS PRIME IN A MAN'S
HOROSCOPE.'

THE OBSTACLE OFFERER-REMEDIES

We have heard of Siamese twins.In Ramayana, it is
said that Shri.RAMA AND LAKSHMANA were
inseperable twins. 'IF SHRI RAMA WERE TO BE THE
LIGHT, SHRI.LAKSHMANA WOULD BE THE SHADE.
When Shri.RAMA WAS ABOUT TO GO TO BED,
UNLESS SHRI.LAKSHMANA WAS MADE TO SLEEP
BY HIS SIDE, THE EFFORT WOULD BE FUTILE.Even in
their younger days, they went to forest, learnt the secrets
of using the weapons, from Sage Vishwamitra, finished
the demons, saved the rituals, after marriage went to
forest with Shri.Sita, his consort.

Mother Sita suffered a lot. As Shri.Lakshmana is
Shri.Adishesha by origin, he protected them like a shade.
Hence, he is called 'ilaiya perumal. Bharatha and
Shatrughna were also of the same category.'WHILE THE
ELDER WAS SERVICE-ORIENTED, THE YOUNGER
FOLLOWED THE BROTHER IN HIS MISSION. In
Mahabharatha, Shri.Bheema and shree Arjuna were
inseperable brothers. While the former excelled in masewielding,
the later was an Expert in Archery. Shri. Nakula
and Sahadeva-...... were Madri's sons. The first excelled in

CONSORT, MOTHER UMA. Lord Narayana appeared
in the form of a 'BEAUTIFUL DAMSEL, 'MOHINI' and
distributed the nector between the two parties.'The
Devas and The Demons. Two demons sneaked into the
Divine camp and consumed the nector, which was
spotted by the Lord, and in the struggle that followed,
'ONE LOST HIS HEAD',[LORD RAHU] AND THE
OTHER HIS BODY [LORD KETHU].' HENCE THEIR
NAME GOES TOGETHER.'

Sometimes, even Lord Sun is attacked by Lord
Rahu, whose light is blocked at that time. People will take
bath and offer prayers on the river side for relief. No
auspicious work is performed at that time. Today, poojas
are performed in every temple, to ward off the evil
effects, ESPECIALLY IN DIVINE MOTHER'S TEMPLES.

OF PEACE AND TRANQUILITY EVERYWHERE
WHICH WILL GROW LIKE A BANYANTREE TO GIVE
SHARE TO A MILLION SEEKERS,' 'THE LORD RAHU
MAY BE A BIT HARSH, BUT WITH A GOLDEN
HEART. WHEN YOU WASH THE DIRTY LINEN OF
VANITY AND PRIDE, AND WITH DEVOTION AND
PRAYER, HE WILL WARD OFF ALL EVIL EFFECTS
AND THE LASHES RECEIVED AS SUFFERING WILL
DISAPPEAR. YOU CAN CASH ON HIM FOR
PROSPERITY. REMOVE THE TRASH AND AVOID
THE CRASH AND ENCASH ON HIS GOODWISH.

Chapter-18

LORD KETHU
INSEPERABLE SIAMESE TWIN

The last and the ninth in the cabinet is Lord Kethu. As
already said, 'Lord Rahu does not have' head' and Lord
Kethu does not have 'body.' Hence, the combination of
both of them create chaos.

Suppose, we think of a person who has only' head',
he will rule the world by using discretion. Hence we call
him as 'Leader of any team.' The thought goes to the
mind where there will be dilemma. Then, intelligence
brings discrimination, discretion, and Decision to achieve
anything.

Anybody with body merely works. If one has to go
to market mechanically without any goal or object, it will
be futile. Let us have an institution as an example. It will
have an office.It will deal in some product. It will have
some staff members.

The head of the institution will have a strategy.
That has to be explained to the staff Members in a
meeting. Management of finance, time, men, machines,
marketing targets, Purchase, sales. Each wing will have a

Head or a Leader to manage the staff. The men who
implement the programmes are the backbones of the
progress. Ultimately, the Company will reap the benefit.
Thus' the combination of the Head and the Body can do
wonders.' Here, Rahu means Lord Subramanya who is
also called as 'Muruga.', THE DEVANAYAKA WHO
TAUGHT PRANAVA'S MEANING TO HIS FATHER
LORD SHIVA, WHO STANDS ON THE TOP OF THE
SIX HILLS AS MURUGA, TO MITIGATE THE
MISERIES.

KANDA, RESEMBLING KINDNESS, BY OFFER
ING WHAT THE DEVOTEE WANTS BUT ALSO WHAT
HE WANTS TO OFFER THE DEVOTEES. THUS BY
MARRYING VALLI AND DEVAYANI, WITH SIX
FACES AND TWELVE HANDS, HE WILL PROVE THE
ADAGE, 'THE BEST GUN WHICH WILL WARD OFF
ALL EVILS IS MURUGAN.'

Coming to Lord Kethu, there are two places where
his temples are located, one at thiruperum pallam-[57

K.M. k.m. from Kumbhakonam]Thiruppampuram 32
k.m.from Kumbhakonam]-here with Rahu.
The first place signifies; When an elephant is to be
tamed, a pit will be dug, some leaves are placed on the
same. When a new elephant runs amuck to the sound of
drums, it will Place its foot on the leaves and drops in the
pit. With the help of the trained elephant, it Will be taken
to the trainer, 'TAMED TO BE A CENT PER CENT
PERFECTIONIST PERSONIFIED.'

perfect, as the punishment by the judges to reform the
thief, as the suffering by a man is an avenue to take him to

CONCLUSION

Everyone wants to be away from the humdrum of

life for a few days. Hence, they will choose some far-off
place, especially to mitigate their worries and find some
peace and Tranquility. But the funny part of the matter is,
that, they have to take up the same battle.

'Is there any penacia for this/ These material
things are never ending, born out of desires and when
not satisfied, makes the man disgusted, dejected and
desperate. The remedy lies in that, he must go to
something which will give him permanent satisfaction.
Spirituality is the medicine prescribed for this ill.
'PRAYER, PILGRIMAGE . BEING PIOUS, BRINGS IN
PEACE.' It is with this intention that our yelders
established cities With temples. The adage is, 'AVOID
STAYING IN A PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO
TEMPLE.''THE TEMPLES MIGHT HAVE COME OUT
OF GOD'S WILL, AS THE LORD, OBLIGING HIS

THAT THE TEMPLES ARE THERE AND THE LORD
STANDS THERE , IT IS FOR THE DEVOTEE TO MAKE
THE BEST USE OF THE SAME AND REAP THE
MAXIMUM BENEFIT.'

The dejected mind decides to go on a pilgrimage
tour. First, to desire, the programming, Vehicle, reaching
the place, getting down, selecting the resort, purchase of
seva tickets, Enthusiasm to enter, run and stand before
the Lord, silently, speak to him sans words, Setting apart
all worries, saluting after seeing the LORD, shedding
tears out of ecastasy, Steadfast surrender, satisfaction of
finding the last resort, sympathizing for the delay,
Submitting the ego and surrendering oneself slowly but
surely moving towards solution Called 'SALVATION.'
“Sum total of life search successfully possessed, sending
the signal to the successive colleagues to start striving
towards spirituality to hold on to the super- Power for
survival. While we are accustomed to salute the Lord, the
supreme power, it is equally important to offer our
salutations to the cabinet colleagues also who help us in
making our worldly life smooth, satisfying mitigating our
worries and providing the natural resources. They are
located wholesale, in Tamilnadu, and after lot of effort to

Among the famous temples around

Kumbhakonam, mention of two temples were omitted By
oversight . Govindapuram; In north, we have got the
tradition of Bhajans,'WHERE Bhakthi is the basis to reach
the Lord. Lord Panduranga, with his consort, Mother
Rukumayi stands in Pandharapura. There is a story of a
devotee called 'Pundalika' WHO ORDERED THE LORD
TO STAY ON A BRICK TILL HE ARRIVED AFTER
COMPLETING SERVING HIS PARENTS.'

The Four Bhaktas, Nivrutti, Gyanadev, Sopana,
Muktabai, Ekanatha varada Pandurang, Have been the
common names in Maharashtra who founded the Bhakthi
cult. The dishes in the south are profusely welcomed in
the North like Idli, Dosa, Puri, Vada etc. They rush in
groups to taste the same in a south Indian
marriage.Likewise, people In the south like Bhale-puri,
Sohan pappadi, and throng the North Indian Hotels. In
the Same way, in South India, preference is given to

Shri.Sengalipuram Anantha Rama-Dikshitar. During his
life time, he along with his Brother swayed the entire
south through his rezen-davous rendering of
Shri.Narayanneyam, the anectode of Shri.Krishna,
standing in Guru-vayoor.'BLESSED WITH A VIBRANT
VOICE OF A LION, SCHOLARY IN SANSKRIT,
VOTARY OF INFORMATION, COUPLED WITH
MELODIOUS MUSICAL RENDERING OF THE
