You gave us pleasure and pain as two halves
you heard our prayer and gave us two calves
you are the sculptor of their future who carves

Satyanarayana Ji, Let's call Ganesha as Ganesha only. Calling him elephant god is for someone who does not know significance of sanatana dharma's love for the entire jeeva rashis. Our Rishis saw god in all life forms including trees and plant ( I am ashwatha among trees says Bhagavan Krishna). Dasavatara is a proof to this.
